TagAlong is built so a trip's data belongs to the trip. This is the short version.

What we store

Your name, the trip you join, your travel preferences, any dietary or access needs you add, and the votes and suggestions you make. If you sign in, your email. If you choose "use my location" in the assistant, your coordinates are sent with that question to answer it and are not stored.

Who can see it

The Captain chooses who sees individual preferences: only them, them and Co-pilots, or everyone on the trip. Allergies and similar needs are only visible to you and the Captain. Everyone sees anonymous group totals.

The AI assistant

The assistant is read-only. It can only see what you are allowed to see, it cannot change the plan, and every change goes to a group vote. We use AI providers that are configured not to retain or train on prompts.

Your controls

You can edit your preferences any time and leave a trip. To delete your data, ask the trip Captain or contact us and we will remove it.
